30 DBJ: Day Fourteen

A non-fictional book

I don't know if this counts, because I have not finished the book, yet. It is a VERY good book. Convicting?...yes. Worth it?...yes. I think when I finish, I will read it again, this time taking notes as I go. I think I learn better when I take notes :)

I LOVE this book! Granted, I have only read it one time, it's one book I would like to read over and over again. Here is a product description from amazon.com:

A little cold :(

So, we took our little guy to the Dr. today, after him being congested for 2 days, and we found out he has a little cold :( He probably got it from his dad, who is starting to get over his, he thinks. It's so sad to hear him cough, and I can't do anything about it. We gave him some saline drops to help clear out his nose, but there's not a whole lot you can do for 2-month olds. We'll try a hot shower, while he's in his bouncy seat, and see if the steam helps to clear him up some. He's not too fussy either, which is good.

30 DBJ: Day Eleven

Something you are OCD about

So, I don't have a good current picture of me yet with my NEW haircut, so I will postpone that one until I have one. So, I had to think REALLY hard about something I am OCD about. I don't find myself being an OCD person. Sometimes I'm particular about how things should be, but not to the point of OCD. So, I finally came up with something. Plucking my eyebrows. Anytime I pluck my eyebrows, I get so OCD about it, and I worry that I may end up with no eyebrows at the end LOL! I would rather pay someone to just wax them for me and trim them to make them look nice...but I don't want to spend the money on that kind of thing. It's not a need, like diapers, wipes, food, etc. So, I just do it myself. Takes about an hour...okay maybe I'm exaggerating, but it does take me awhile, and usually I can never get them "perfect".

I took this picture while I was overseas in the Middle East. Our group went to go watch the sea turtles, and the tour guide was telling us NOT to use the flash because it scares them. Well, it was a great event, but I couldn't get ANY good pictures. As we were leaving, our group leader told me to go ahead and use my flash. So, I did and here is the picture! :) The tour guide yelled, "NO FLASH!!!"

It was worth it though! :)

P.S. Sorry I am so behind on my DBJ. I just do them when I can, and we have been busy here getting everything ready to open up our coffee stand, hopefully, on Sept. 13th :)
